Holiday Project Update
1. It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school. What did you do over the break with your senior project?
The essence of the senior project is to continuously make progress in the field you are interested. It isn't about isolated projects and presentations. The senior project is an opportunity to slowly immersing ourselves into what could potentially be our future.
I looked over a few journals and articles over my break. However, I didn't really work on my senior project like I wished I would have. I was still productive so I forgive myself.
2. What was the most important thing you learned from what you did, and why? What was the source of what you learned?
I learned about the winter solstice! I had no idea it was the longest night and shortest day of the year. I learned about it here on the EarthSky website. I enjoy learning about astronomy facts because I lack a fundamental understanding of it.
3. If you were going to do a 10 question interview on questions related to answers for your EQ, who would you talk to and why?
I would talk to a professor at a liberal arts college. I am applying to many liberal arts schools and I feel it would answer my questions about astrophysics and give me insight on what to expect from my education.
